Vigor's Jabarrius Garror breaks the state sack record as round two sets up
The Mobile Daily News team
If you follow Friday-night football, round one gave us a record. In Vigor's 37-7 playoff win over Valley, senior Jabarrius Garror broke the state's all-time sack record with 64.5, passing Cole McConathy's mark. That's a lot of bad nights for quarterbacks.
64.5career sacks, now the Alabama high school record
The previous record was 63 sacks, set by Spanish Fort's Cole McConathy between 2021 and 2023, according to the AHSAA.
