- ➤ The Mobile Azalea Trail—working with the Mobile Jaycees—announced the 2026–2027 Azalea Trail Court and crowned Reese Browning as Azalea Trail Queen during a ceremony held Nov 16th at Saraland High School. Reese, a junior at St. Luke’s Episcopal School, was joined by Lila Applewhite as First Lady-in-Waiting and Satsuma High School’s Madisyn Brown as Second Lady-in-Waiting. WKRG News 5

- ➤ Three Alabama acts—Riley Green, Ella Langley & the Red Clay Strays—are set to perform at the CMA Awards on Wednesday, November 19 at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. - ➤ Mobile's Port City Chapter of Blacks in Government will host the 36th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemorative Breakfast at Calirojae— the sold-out event begins at 8:30 a.m. on January 19 and features keynote speaker Congressman Shomari Figures discussing the theme 'Now is the Time: Realizing the Promise of Democracy.' - ➤ The Alabama Department of Human Resources announced that it will issue full November SNAP benefits to recipients after receiving notice from the USDA Food and Nutrition Service that the federal government reopened - benefits will be available today for clients with passed issuance dates and will follow the normal schedule for others.
