At Hancock Whitney Stadium today, volunteers handed out 1,000 turkeys and sides to families in need for Thanksgiving dinner while preparing early this morning to help ensure full tables (local sports figures helped load cars and share kind words).

The Publix Battleship 12k celebrated its 10th anniversary this weekend as more than 2,800 runners traveled from Baldwin County to the battleship — a new trail run at Battleship Park added an extra challenge.

Participants set personal records while honoring military service and paying tribute to the US Air Force.

University of Mobile students visited Baldwin County Corrections Center to share a worship service with inmates.

Campus Pastor Jared Baria led the message with live music—the first ever in the jail—and county officials said they will continue the partnership for future services.

The City of Fairhope and Fairhope Public Utilities teamed up with Ecumenical Ministries to launch a holiday campaign that will brighten downtown and support local families with non-perishable food donations and utility bill assistance—drop-off sites are at the Welcome Center, City Hall and the James P. Nix Center. The Lighting of the Trees celebration on Nov. 20 will feature a switch flip to illuminate downtown and aid Baldwin County families in need.
