- ➤ This morning in Spanish Fort at Prodisee Pantry, over 100 volunteers packed Thanksgiving boxes for 1,500 food insecure families in Baldwin County—some of whom include federal employees affected by the government shutdown and SNAP cuts. Boxes will be available for pickup every Tuesday leading up to Thanksgiving. NBC 15
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The Mobile Ballet is holding its fall fundraiser by selling the Nutcracker Savings Card, which costs $50 and gives a 20% discount at select shops. The discount runs from Nov. 1—Nov. 10 and all funds raised support the ballet. WKRG News 5

- ➤ The Zachariah Godbold Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution welcomed Baldwin County High School Air Force Junior ROTC cadets and their instructor Col. Aaron Lehman (USAF Ret.) at its October meeting. The chapter donated books about the Revolutionary War era and historical fiction to the BCHS library to honor the cadets ahead of the nation’s 250th birthday celebration. Gulf Coast Media
- ➤ Aidan Anderson, a Mobile resident and junior at Auburn, was named Student of the Year by the Governor’s Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities after he began losing his sight as a freshman. - ➤ Baldwin County announced Bohemian Hall Road will close temporarily on Wednesday, Nov. 5 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. — the closure is due to a cross-drain replacement and is weather dependent, so drivers should use the detour. WKRG News 5
