EDUCATION NEWS

  • Baldwin County High School senior Stori Palmer was crowned Miss AWAG 2025 at Coastal Alabama Community College in Bay Minette during a program sponsored by the Area Women’s Action Group—she earned multiple awards including the Candace Crook Orr Queen Scholarship for first place in GPA performance while runners-up and other participants received special scholarships and honors. The event recognized top academic achievement and spirit among high school contestants.  Gulf Coast Media

SPORTS NEWS

  • Alabama scored a 27-24 win over Missouri as Dijon Lee Jr. intercepted a pass with 37 seconds left, giving the Tide their third SEC win and a 5-1 record—sportswriters say the win could shake up the AP Top 25.  Alabama Public Radio
  • Alabama moved up to number six in the AP Top 25—its win led Missouri to drop to number 16 and helped Indiana reach its highest ranking ever at number three.  Alabama Public Radio
