  • Mobile Police Department is looking for Linda Davis, 72, who went missing from the 3400 block of Hillcrest Road and has a medical condition that needs immediate care—if you have any information, call 251-208-7211.  NBC 15
  • A Fairhope man evaded a police stop in Foley on July 12 until his vehicle wrecked into a power pole and a natural gas valve, causing a gas leak and live electrical line hazard that led officers to extract him with minimal injuries and arrest him on DUI and felony eluding charges — he also faces additional misdemeanor charges.  Gulf Coast Media

  • A free festival honoring Jimmy Buffett will be held on Saturday, September 20 in downtown Mobile at Riverview Plaza, Dauphin Street, and Cathedral Square. The event will feature a Coral Reefer Jam with longtime collaborators (including Keith Sykes, Roger Bartlett, Jim Mayer, and Will Kimbrough) and performances by additional acts, all set to run from 10 a.m. through the afternoon.  1819 News
  • American Shrapnel is a new eight-part podcast series from Alabama Media Group that will be released on July 30 and examines the 1996 investigation into domestic terrorist Eric Robert Rudolph after the country’s largest pipe bomb was found—award-winning journalists John Archibald and Becca Andrews spent three years reviewing FBI files and eyewitness accounts to trace the bomber's trail during the largest manhunt of the 20th century.  AL.com

  • Firefighters from Mobile (with members from Saraland and Tuscaloosa) updated their progress after arriving Friday in flood-hit central Texas near Leander where they faced rough terrain, heat, and humidity.
