- ➤ An 18 year old man was shot in his buttocks during a high-speed chase that began at 1:14 a.m. in Prichard and moved along I-10 and Dauphin Island Parkway as deputies used a PIT maneuver to stop the vehicle; authorities arrested him and another 18 year old passenger while a third person fled the scene. - ➤ Gulf Shores artist Michael Swiger defended his pulled 2025 National Shrimp Festival poster design as art appropriation after officials found it resembled a 2024 Hurley Pro surfing poster from Hawaii on July 10th—he said his work intentionally reinterpreted the original.
