The FBI partnered with Daphne Police Department to train school resource officers, educators and law enforcement at Daphne Middle School on Wednesday on emerging online threats to children.

Officials say a similar session for over 1,300 Orange Beach school personnel is scheduled in October (enhancing child safety online).

The Mississippi-Alabama Sea Grant COAST Resilience Institute announced a summer series of free sessions on weather preparedness, flood mitigation and land management — trainings are scheduled for July 22 at Gulf Coast Research Lab, July 23 at Dauphin Island Community Center, July 30 in Biloxi and August 12 online.

Mobile County residents may now bring old or damaged American flags to 20 new drop-off sites established by the County Commission.
