- ➤ Thirteen vendors gathered at Orange Beach Waterfront Park on June 29 for a pop-up farmers market organized by the Orange Beach Parks and Recreation Department, offering fresh fruits, vegetables, baked goods, planters, and honey. Events coordinator Kristin Hatcher said the first market was a success and future pop-ups may be scheduled — if residents respond positively. Gulf Coast Media

- ➤ Less than two days after Amtrak announced the Mardi Gras service start date, the first train leaving Mobile at 6:30 a.m. Monday, August 18, has sold out— the return train from New Orleans at 4:30 p.m. that day is also sold out. UTV 44
- ➤ Cinemex Holdings USA filed for bankruptcy for the second time in five years and said it will keep its 28 dine-in theaters operating while continuing to pay employees. The company expects to restructure with support from its secured lender and emerge from bankruptcy proceedings in early Q3 — according to its latest release. WKRG News 5
