Since 2003, the McCarron Cousins in Mobile have met monthly at Roshell’s Restaurant in the Crichton area to keep their family tradition alive after the loss of matriarch Sadie Betancourt.

An investigation later found the incident was preventable, and the ship—renamed Carnival Sunrise—had struck a vessel on April 3rd, 2012, causing one fatality.
