  • Netflix's upcoming documentary, Trainwreck: Poop Cruise, will tell how Mobile became a safe harbor for Carnival Triumph in 2013 when an engine fire left the ship adrift with 4,229 passengers—its 82-day stay brought crises like a fatal accident and a gasoline explosion evacuation that led to changes in cruise safety standards. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • On Tuesday, the city council approved contracts to convert 23 downtown traffic signals to 4-way stops and change seven one-way streets to two-way—part of a plan that engaged urban planner Jeff Speck to improve walkability and add parking. Residents and business owners have raised concerns about parking and deliveries, and councilman William Carroll said adjustments may be made after the project is completed—costing $3.3 million for resurfacing and restriping and more than $1 million for removing signals.  NBC 15

  • Panini America has been named the new title sponsor for the Senior Bowl—now the Panini Senior Bowl—and the game will bring fresh energy to the college football all-star event.   • Mobile celebrated the unveiling of the new Hall of Fame Walk at the Arthur R.
