The Alabama Department of Environmental Management has declined direct SRF loans for Prichard’s water system, stating it does not meet loan-readiness requirements (there is a new nine-month project with MAWSS and bondholders to outline future alternatives) ahead of the June 30 funding application deadline.

Former U.S. Rep. Jerry Carl from Mobile is seeking to reclaim his seat in November after accepting a $10,000 donation and support from Sen. Katie Britt, who previously backed his opponent Rhett Marques.
