  • Bayou La Batre in south Mobile County celebrated 70 years as an incorporated city with a parade from Alba Middle School and a party at the Community Center.   • The family of one of the women killed in a 2021 Interstate 565 crash said they are thankful after learning a plea deal may give Jacob Stephens a 30-year sentence—Stephens is charged with reckless murder and assault—while his trial is set for today at the Madison County Courthouse and a civil lawsuit against him remains pending.  1819 News

  • Mobile will honor Hank Aaron with a bronze statue nine feet tall on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. on Water Street in front of the convention center.
