- ➤ A Fairhope man has been charged with murder and attempted murder in connection with the killing of his mother and injuring his father after deputies responded to a domestic incident on Dominion Drive around 11 p.m. Saturday, June 14—he fled the scene and was later pursued on Interstate-65, with the chase ending in Escambia County. - ➤ Late Saturday night, a domestic dispute on Dominion Drive near Fairhope left one person dead and one seriously injured as officers found two injured residents and suspect Ryan Thomas Smith fled before an I-65 chase ended in Escambia County using the Grappler System, and he is now held without bond on murder and attempted murder charges.
