CRIME NEWS
- ➤ On March 26th, deputies responded to an RV community in Foley after a neighbor reported that registered sex offender John Allen Davis followed a female juvenile into a public restroom, and investigations revealed he failed to update his registration—resulting in Davis being charged with Sexual Abuse in the Second Degree while additional charges are pending. - ➤ Mobile Police Department warned residents in Mobile and Spring Hill of a pine straw scam—where homeowners are charged thousands after the work is done—and urged people to never pay upfront without a written contract. AL.com
- ➤ Police arrested 38-year-old Mitchell Revette on Thursday around noon in the 600 block of Girby Road after he told officers a bomb was under his vehicle – officers later found no explosive and charged him with resisting arrest and failing to obey orders. 1819 News

- ➤ Officials say the USS Enterprise, the world’s first nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, will be dismantled in Mobile after its reactor was decommissioned and hazardous materials are set to be safely disposed of. The $536.7 million project — which covers proper waste management — is scheduled to be completed in November 2029. WKRG News 5
- ➤ Mobile businessman Doug Harwell announced his bid for District 34 Alabama Senate on June 5 at The Refined Farmhouse. He is a lifelong resident who served 12 years on the Mobile County School Board and will focus on growing jobs, making schools better and keeping communities safe with clear, honest leadership. - ➤ A mayoral forum will let Mobile residents ask questions to candidates for mayor on Tuesday, July 8 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at New Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church on Old Shell Rd — the event is hosted by NAACP, Stand Up Mobile and Metro Mobile NPHC. UTV 44
