- ➤ Families and children will gather in Fairhope on June 7 for the 14th Children’s Cup Regatta to benefit patients at Children’s of Alabama. - ➤ Kimberly-Clark Corporation announced a $130 million investment at its Mobile facility to add a new production line for hygiene products and create about 29 jobs — the line is expected to be fully operational by the third quarter. - ➤ A 66-year-old inmate serving a life sentence for the deadly Mobile barbecue stabbing that killed 31-year-old Raymond DeAngelo Cochran died in prison after treatment for significant health issues, and an autopsy is scheduled for today. AL.com
- ➤ Mobile County District Attorney Keith Blackwood announced Tuesday that Marcus Sanders faces Capital Murder charges for a Saenger Theater shooting that injured one and killed one on Sunday; the charges were upgraded because a child was present during the incident (a factor that may lead to the death penalty).
