ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A 12-foot alligator (640 lb) reportedly attacked and killed a dog before being captured and euthanized on May 12 in Gulf Shores as police, fire rescue and ADCNR coordinated the operation. AL.com
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Foley's population grew nearly 8% with 2,207 new residents arriving from July 2024 to July 2025, making it the fastest growing city among those with over 10,000 residents. City officials planned a new water treatment plant and improved connecting roads to handle the increased demand. AL.com

- ➤ The new one-way traffic pattern at the Intracoastal Waterway Bridge has opened in Gulf Shores, allowing easier travel between the Beach Express, Orange Beach and Fort Morgan, as the detour on SR 161 has been removed and two southbound lanes, two northbound lanes, & a roundabout are in use.
