- ➤ Alabama school districts now allow public-to-public transfers under the CHOOSE Act, letting education savings accounts cover tuition next year (10 districts qualify, including Troy City and Geneva County). - ➤ Alabama marine officials announced that red snapper season will open on Friday, May 22 for private recreational anglers and state-licensed charter vessels with seven-day access until the 2026 quota (664,552 pounds) is met.
