- ➤ Mobile residents are invited to join the National Day of Prayer event on Thursday, May 7 at Battleship Park from noon to 1:30 p.m., where local faith leaders and the mayor will lead prayers to mark the 75th Anniversary of the day and the 250th Anniversary of the nation's founding (free parking is available for those notifying the park attendant, though chairs are limited).
