Today through April 25, the Alabama Department of Transportation joins National Work Zone Awareness Week and urges Mobile drivers to slow down and stay alert near construction zones.
Gov. Kay Ivey issued a proclamation—reminding drivers that although work zone crashes increased last year, fatalities dropped to a ten-year low, so authorities advise obeying posted speed limits and avoiding distractions.
