A Mobile man (who shot and killed another man during a crawfish boil in 2022) has been convicted of murder (according to the Mobile County District Attorney's Office).

A woman (a former basketball player from Vigor High School and Coastal Alabama Community College) was shot and killed at Sage Park on Thursday night (April 17th).

Dog River Clearwater Revival will host the 10th Annual Dog River Mudbottom Music Festival on May 4 from 1-6 p.m. at Bender Point — the event will feature live acts such as Jimmy Hall and Friends, Will Kimbrough and Friends, and Red and The Revelers to raise funds for improving public access and water quality on Dog River.

The Mobile Parks and Recreation Department will host the third annual Lope at the Loop 5K on April 26 in downtown Mobile—this free event welcomes walkers, runners, cyclists, leashed dogs, and families to complete a 3.2-mile course along the Henry Aaron Loop.

Participants must gather at the Ice Box parking lot at 755 Monroe Street from 8:00 a.m. to noon as part of the 100 Alabama Miles Challenge to boost an active lifestyle.
