ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Two teens riding an electric scooter were fatally struck on April 13th on County Road 65 near Airport Road when a 2006 Chevy Colorado lost control as the driver tried to avoid a collision — he remained on scene and is not facing charges. AL.com
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Mobile Police arrested Joshua Hughes (42) on Friday, April 11 at approximately 11:00 p.m. at Chevron on Springhill Avenue when officers discovered he was impersonating an officer (wearing a polo shirt with a badge) and took him to Metro Jail. UTV 44

- ➤ Peabo Bryson will perform at Mobile Saenger Theatre on July 31 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets go on sale April 18 at 10 a.m. & prices start at $45.50. UTV 44
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Mobile County Commission and LSAR signed a nonbinding letter of intent for Jubilee Park, a $60 million water park project on Halls Mill Road that will include indoor and outdoor attractions + a multiuse center, restaurants and RV sites. Parts of the park may open by 2027 and the full project is planned for spring, with construction expected to create 300 jobs and boost local revenue. The Mobile Rundown

- ➤ Madeline Borchert, a 17-year-old junior at the Alabama School of Mathematics and Science, won the state science fair top prize for her project on RNAi pesticides that target invasive species, making her the first Mobilian to win this honor. She will compete at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair in Columbus after her success at the Mobile Regional Science Fair and the subsequent Alabama Science and Engineering Fair at Auburn.
