  • Austal USA and Master Boat Builders signed a contract for Master Boat to build two T-ATS hull modules — slated for Navy deployment at Austal’s facility on the Mobile River.   • Mobile is investing up to $1 million in new cultural exhibits along Water Street to boost waterfront tourism, with a Jimmy Buffett exhibit (opening mid-September), an interactive Mobile-Tensaw Delta display expected in spring, and a sports hall of fame project in the RSA Tower approved by city leaders.  AL.com

HEALTH NEWS

  • Thomas Hospital marked a milestone today by placing the final beam for its new $40 million patient care tower in Fairhope—set to add 25 beds, a cardiac lab and a rooftop helipad. Officials say the expansion is on track, with plans to open beds this summer.  NBC 15
