- ➤ Today the annual Fairhope Arts and Crafts Festival kicks off with featured artist Natalie Catar showcasing her piece 'The Heron' – a 16-by-20 oil on canvas at downtown Fairhope, as over 200 artists, live music and food join the celebration. - ➤ Orange Beach Middle and High School was recognized with the 2025 Safe School Award on account of enhanced emergency training, improved door security and tighter collaboration with local law enforcement — one of nine schools statewide chosen from over 1,500 to receive this honor. - ➤ St. Michael Catholic High School announced that Philip Martin will serve as the new assistant principal for the 2026-2027 year. The nine-year veteran, who taught at McGill-Toolen and served on academic groups (his oldest child is enrolled), brings steady leadership to the school. Gulf Coast Media

- ➤ After storms caused a nest to collapse at Gulf State Park Sunday night (heavy rain and strong winds), the Orange Beach Wildlife Center rescued two eaglets, who were found with dehydration and minor injuries before being transferred to Auburn University Raptor Center, where they remain stable as of Wednesday. 1819 News

- ➤ Mobile County leaders plan to purchase a historic home at 1358 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue using American Rescue Plan funds to save the property once owned by C. First Johnson, a trailblazing Black pastor and entrepreneur. An engineering firm will assess the structure over the next six months to decide whether to renovate or rebuild. NBC 15

- ➤ The FDA classified 90,000 bottles of children’s ibuprofen as a Class II risk on March 16 after a gel substance and black particles were found in products from Taro Pharmaceuticals.
