  • B&B Towing is appealing a 60-day suspension from Mobile’s towing rotation after it was cited for operating without proper requirements near the Lundi Gras parade route — the company said its driver with hearing challenges was only assisting with calls.  NBC 15

  • Mobile recalls a viral leprechaun sighting from 20 years ago near Crichton — residents reported that when a light was shined on the tree, the elusive figure vanished. The legend remains a beloved part of St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.  1819 News

  • ALDOT aims to open the new southbound ICW Bridge in Gulf Shores on or before Memorial Day, weather permitting, which will reassign traffic onto the island with a new roundabout and expanded lanes; final construction will continue after the bridge opens.  1819 News
  • Alabama Rep. Matt Simpson proposed a one-year moratorium on the Stockton solar project to address local environmental concerns—critics warn it could slow solar development across the state. The proposal remains under legislative review by the Transportation, Utilities, and Infrastructure Committee.  AL.com
  • Gov. Kay Ivey proclaimed March as Prescribed Fire Awareness Month to show how controlled burns benefit natural resources + reduce wildfire risk, following a request from the Alabama Prescribed Fire Council.  Gulf Coast Media
