- ➤ The Mobile Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated is hosting a community cleanup on Saturday, March 14 at 9:00 a.m. at the Community Life Development Center on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue to pick up trash and clear sidewalks from St. Charles Avenue to O’Sage Street. - ➤ Wintzell's Oyster House hosted a local birthday event when they offered free oysters to any 80-year-old man who brought his father; the family’s photo now hangs on a restaurant wall as the story gained nationwide attention. - ➤ Former State Sen. Rusty Glover and businessman Doug Harwell are contesting Senate District 34 in a race marked by allegations of push-polling and dark-money influence. Glover said the disputed tactics aim to mislead voters and vowed to serve with honesty if elected. 1819 News
