- ➤ City leaders and project partners celebrated Mobile Arena’s topping-out ceremony on Tuesday, Mar. 3 at a downtown site. The 10,000-seat venue is set to open in early 2027 (it will host live sports, concerts, and touring events). City of Mobile
- ➤ On Tuesday evening, city officials met at Gilliard Elementary to update a plan linking McNally Park, 96-acre Perch Creek Preserve, and the Ziebach site by adding nature trails, boardwalks + fishing piers for better waterfront access; they plan to deliver a shovel-ready master plan soon. AL.com

- ➤ Rapper Ice Cube will perform live at the Sound Amphitheater in Gautier on May 3. Ticket presale opens at 10 a.m. today with password (SOUND) and general sales begin at 10 a.m. Friday. AL.com
- ➤ Visit Mobile announced the return of free walking tours every Saturday in April. Each tour begins at 10 a.m. from the Visit Mobile Welcome Center in downtown and gives residents a chance to explore Mobile’s culture, history, and upcoming projects. UTV 44

- ➤ A Mobile County Public Schools board member removed a bullying video from social media after a parent asked him to take it down. He noted the parent's responsible approach (which could help shape future parent-school interactions) as a positive sign for the district. UTV 44
- ➤ Governor Kay Ivey signed the Healthy Early Development and Screen Time Act on Wednesday, Mar. 4 to limit children’s screen time in early learning sites such as daycares, pre-K and kindergarten + state agencies will work together to develop guidelines and training ahead of its Jan. 1 implementation. - ➤ Mobile Bay NEP updated its 'State of the Bay' report after over a year of research, summarizing the bay's ecosystem health & conservation progress. Newly appointed director Jason Kudulis said the 204-page document offers a clear, science-based snapshot of the bay and its connected watersheds. Gulf Coast Media

- ➤ The Senate passed a bill on Tuesday that sets minimum reimbursement rates for emergency ambulance services, requiring health insurers to cover in-network rates without surprise billing.
