- ➤ Make-A-Wish Alabama is launching a new specialty license plate campaign today that will direct $41.50 from each sale to grant wishes for children with critical illnesses. Drivers must pre-commit as 1,000 are needed, and the first 500 will receive a commemorative keychain (details available at Make-A-Wish Alabama). Gulf Coast Media
- ➤ Altar & Rosary Society is hosting its Annual Bake Sale on Saturday, Feb. 7, from 8 a.m. to noon at Our Lady of the Gulf parish campus in the Waterway District. Homemade treats such as lemon pies, cookies, and soups will be sold to support church ministries. Gulf Coast Media
- ➤ Eight Eastern Shore students were named goodwill ambassadors on the 2026 Dogwood Trail Court following the 66th Annual Dogwood Trail Pageant on Jan. 17. They will each receive a $1,500 scholarship and custom costume and debut at the Fairhope Arts and Crafts Festival (March 21). Gulf Coast Media
