- ➤ Fort Morgan Fire Rescue contained a brush fire that burned 15 acres off State Highway 180 near Sunrise and Lakeshore Drives over the weekend, with support from other agencies. The sheriff’s office used traffic control & a drone to check the area, and local volunteers thanked first responders. 1819 News
- ➤ Last Friday, a Mobile-based team from Wags and Whiskers drove to Mississippi to rescue a chained mama dog + her seven puppies from rising floodwaters. The animals are now cared for in Mobile, with adoption set to begin in about nine weeks. The Mobile Rundown
