- ➤ Heritage Park in Foley will host the Gumbo & Alabama Slammer Festival on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1 with gumbo from local chefs, live music by Private Eyes and Krash Party, a petting zoo, and contests awarding $50 prizes. Gulf Coast Media
- ➤ Buddhist monks and their rescue dog visited Alabama during their peace walk across the South, drawing nearly 1,000 people at a church in Opelika and 200 at a farm in Cusseta (part of a journey that began in Texas and will continue to Washington, D.C.). Alabama Public Radio

- ➤ A recent 2025 report shows that Baldwin County roads are among the nation’s best (rising from 88% to 92% acceptable from 2020 to 2023).
