About this event

Sugarcane Jane is an award-winning Americana / folk-rock duo from coastal Alabama, known for harmony-driven songwriting, lived-in grooves, and performances that feel as personal as they are powerful. Fronted by husband-and-wife team Savana Lee and Anthony Crawford, the band blends Southern roots, classic songwriting, and modern Americana into a sound that’s both timeless and unmistakably their own.

Formed out of years of friendship and musical collaboration, Sugarcane Jane grew from a shared love of great songs and honest performances. Their music is built around acoustic guitar, bass, harmonica, and tight two-part harmonies, carrying stories of family, faith, love, loss, and redemption, all shaped by the Southern landscapes they call home.

Anthony Crawford brings decades of experience as a touring and recording musician, with a career that includes working alongside legendary artists across rock, country, and Americana. Savana Lee’s soulful vocal delivery and deeply personal songwriting ground the band’s sound, giving Sugarcane Jane its emotional center and unmistakable voice.

The duo has released multiple albums and singles, earning national acclaim from Americana press and radio while building a loyal following through relentless touring and unforgettable live shows. In 2025, Sugarcane Jane was honored with Americana Duo of the Year at the Josie Music Awards, held at the Grand Ole Opry.

Critics have consistently praised the band’s songwriting, chemistry, and authenticity:

“Bottom line: One of the best Nashville duos since Johnny and June.”

— Nancy Dunham, The Washington Times

“A well-oiled Americana machine with genuine soul and a bulletproof catalog.”

— No Depression

“Think Civil Wars meets Tom Petty. They’re the real deal.”

— Alt Country Review

“One of the liveliest, most engaging Americana CDs you’re likely to hear this or any year.”

— Vintage Guitar Magazine

On stage, Sugarcane Jane delivers performances that blur the line between concert and conversation. Whether in an intimate listening room or on a festival stage, their shows are warm, dynamic, and deeply connected, leaving audiences feeling like they’ve been let in on something special.

Currently, Sugarcane Jane continues to tour nationally while releasing new music, carrying their Southern roots wherever the road leads.
