About this event
Lunch & Learn - Film Screening of Alive Inside!
Come see the film. Come listen. Come discover what may still be possible.
The screening of Alive Inside is being presented at the Fairhope Public Library, with Unity on the Eastern Shore and Eastern Shore Healthy Community as co-sponsors.
Whether you are a caregiver, healthcare professional, family member, friend, community member, or simply someone who wants to better understand dementia, this film offers an opportunity to see dementia care through a different lens—one that recognizes the person beyond the diagnosis.
Because sometimes a song can open a door that words can no longer reach.
Join us for Alive Inside: A Story of Music & Memory.
Come for the movie. Stay for the conversation. Leave with a new understanding of the power of music—and the enduring possibility of connection.
More than 7.4 million Americans age 65 and older are living with Alzheimer’s dementia in 2026. Nearly 13 million Americans provide unpaid care for someone living with Alzheimer’s or another dementia—and the financial and emotional impact reaches families, caregivers, and communities everywhere.
But behind those numbers are people. Mothers and fathers. Spouses and friends. People whose memories may fade, yet whose capacity to connect, feel, and experience joy can remain.
That is why we invite you to experience Alive Inside: A Story of Music & Memory, an inspiring documentary that explores the remarkable connection between music, memory, identity, and human connection.
